If you want to know which RIPs can be used with a specific printer model, then you should state clearly which printer model you have and then people can tell you which ones they have experience with. There are other dtg printers that operate basically the same exact way as others and you can use multiple RIPs with them (i.e.īut you probably have to make sure that the RIP is designed to print with the Epson printer model that you are using. So you really need to use the RIPs for each one of those printers. So MultiRIP GP cannot run either one of these printers without some serious changes to the RIP. I have worked with a couple of different dtg manufacturers that have done some unique things to their printer that requires a RIP to be made specifically for only their printers.įor example, the Mod-1 (181900) and MelcoJet G2 (4880) work this way. Most of this has to do with how the dtg manufacturer incorporates the Epson firmware (which drives the printing function) with their own firmware (which gets the printer into a print ready position, states the paper feed mode being used, puts the printer into a state of pause to allow for a second pass to be used.).
